Jennie Armato

Jennie’s background in conferencing began in the early 1990s – as an employee for a large corporation in Melbourne, Australia.

In 1992 she registered her first business and was contracted by an Australian federal government department to organize and coordinate a number of industry-based seminars and information sessions due to the introduction of the Training Guarantee Act.

From there, she was awarded contracts with another federal government department which included the political party of the day’s flagship international trade and investment annual conference, attracting several federal ministers, including the Prime Minister of Australia and 1500 key government officials and business leaders from all over the world.

Her quiet ambition created further business growth which has seen her awarded various contracts over the years on behalf of leading research institutions, universities, employer associations and the private corporate sector. The business of "Meeting Innovation" has also expanded and diversified in its services and products offered to clients as a result of Jennie’s understanding of innovative approaches to business.

More familiar house-hold brand events Jennie has been involved with include the Formula 1 Grand Prix, the Avalon International Air Show and the Great Australian Science Show.

She has studied and worked in most capital cities of Australia as well as throughout the South Pacific region.

As the Director of the business, Jennie is currently applying for and obtaining industry accreditation with the national peak body for conference organizers.

 

Beverley Hilton

Bev is the 'gel' of the Meeting Innovation team as Personal Assistant to Jennie. She brings 23 years experience as a P.A. in the corporate business sector and has a firm grasp of the needs for friendly and efficient service. Bev commenced with Meeting Innovation in 1997 as a contractor and is now a most valued asset to the administrative office in her current role.

She has travelled and worked in many countries around the world

 

John Griffiths

John is a qualified accountant who has worked on contract with Meeting Innovation since 1997.He has experience in a range of Government programs across the Customs, Trade and Industry portfolios.

John has also performed contract accounting and book keeping work for small businesses and accounting firms. He has experience in a number of accounting packages including MYOB, Solution 6 and Handitax.

 

Carla Mellere

Carla began her administration career with the Australian Government Solicitors as a legal assistant which involved data entry, file management, transcriptions and customer service. She also held supervisory positions, including the management of staff responsible for processing briefs and affidavits and attending court, as required.

She them moved to the Commission for the Future where she worked on project launches, transcribing of presentations at events, catering, data entry, customer service, airline bookings and liaison with key government personnel. She also held the position of Personal Assistant to the Commission Director.

After returning to the workforce, Carla resumed an administrative role with the Department of Industry, Science & Regional Development. She was then promoted to the Textile Clothing Footwear Branch, Corporate Wear Section, approving the use of corporate clothing in organizations/companies/institutions across Australia.

Since 1998, Carla has been employed by Meeting Innovation on a contract arrangement in an administrative capacity.

Carla describes her current role as one full of variety, including reception/customer service, maintaining and organizing the set up of meeting facilities, organizing catering, ordering of supplies/provisions, management of a government filing system, accounts payable, sourcing of quotations and alike administrative tasks.

 

Robert Gregory

Bob had 25 years experience with the Australian Public Service before joining Meeting Innovation in 1996. His career with the APS included appointments as Executive Secretary of the Defence Standardisation Committee and as Administrative Manager of the Australian Manufacturing Council.

Each of these positions required a very high level of report writing ability, people management skills and IT knowledge.

Since joining Meeting Innovation, he has had numerous contract assignments in areas such as Information and Project Management.

Bob has a Bachelor of Arts Degree with Honours, majoring in Legal Studies (Administrative and Constitutional Law).

Vesna Bifano

Vesna is an experienced administrator and customer service officer. Her main contract roles have included processing of business applications for government funded industry support programs, database management, client liaison and meeting organisation. Vesna is also an excellent organiser, attending to every detail to ensure client expectations are always met in a timely and professional manner.
